Argh! Just received more notes from the same anonymous person again today! Yikesss. This is seriously starting to freak me out. I told Ethan about it, but he just brushed my concerns, saying that this is simply the price of fame.
But is it?
I’m beginning to have my doubts. Do I really want to be stalked and harassed just in the chase of becoming a known singer? Is this - my privacy, being able to maintain a personal life - all worth giving up in return for becoming a full-time singer?
Ethan says what I’m feeling now is just cold feet, especially with my debut concerts just a couple of days away. But it’s so unnerving, knowing that someone out there is crazy (or stalkerish) enough to leave you anonymous drawings and notes for you.
Times like these, I wish J were around. He’d know what to do.

The forgotten back alleys behind Singapore’s shophouses!
A couple of weeks ago, the Lomography Gallery Store lent me a camera to play with, and I -loved- it.
That’s not to say that I don’t love my trusty digital camera. But there’s something special about using film to shoot. It’s the way the film crinkles when you pull it out of its can, and the intoxicating smell of the photos when you pick them up from the photo studio.
Maybe I’m just an old soul.
More lomo shots to be posted over the next few days! Stay tuned!
Hello world! Two more weeks (plus a day) until my performance at the upcoming Singapore Arts Festival. Needless to say, I’m psyched!
So here’s a video shout-out I made the other day, just to remind people to come to the show and book their tickets! (Yes, we all need gentle reminders every once in a while. I know I do!)
In my most businessey/official voice, here’s my pitch from me to you:
Come watch me perform from the 24 to 27 May later this month at the Singapore Arts Festival! Shows will roughly last around an hour, and it’s the first concert to play out over an iPhone! (We have several sets of iPhones and iPads to lend out on the day itself too!)
Best part? This is absolutely FREE! But bookings are necessary, which you can do via book.hellosongbird.com, or through the iPhone app.
See you there!
